Support
Latarr is a small project in private beta. The fastest way to get help is email.
Email: [email protected]
We aim to reply within a few working days during the beta.
When you write in
It helps to include:
- your device and iOS version;
- what you did and what happened;
- for a failed save, the link you shared and the error shown on the save.
Beta testers
If you are testing through TestFlight, you can also send feedback and screenshots straight from the TestFlight app (shake your device, or use Send Beta Feedback). That reaches us with your build and device details attached. There is also a Send feedback option in the app’s Profile screen for quick bug reports or ideas.
Common questions
A save failed or came back as “unsupported”
Latarr only handles posts that recommend a physical place or a specific dish. Recipes, skits, and memes are rejected on purpose. Private posts and some links can also fail to scrape. Try the original post URL rather than a share screenshot.
The place or dish is wrong
Open the saved item and edit the name, type, city, or tags directly — that is instant and free. If the location itself is wrong, use “Wrong place?” on the place to pick the correct one.
I added a place by hand and the map pin looks off
A hand-added place is stored as-is with no map lookup, so it has no verified pin yet. Use “Find this place on Google” on the place to resolve it to the real listing — map pin, address, hours and a photo. This is a Latarr Pro feature, since it spends a billed lookup; editing the name, type, city or tags by hand stays free.
Why does Latarr ask for “Always” location access?
Only if you turn on Visit detection in Profile — it is off by default. When it’s on, the app notices when you’ve spent a few minutes near one of your own saved places and prompts you the next day to log the visit, so you don’t have to remember to open the app. It only ever watches up to 18 of your own saved places, and only a place ID and the arrival/departure time reach our server — never your raw location. Turn it off any time in Profile. See the Location section of the privacy policy for details.
Turn off reminder notifications
Save-finished pushes, want-to-go nudges, the weekend digest, and visit-logging prompts each have their own toggle in Profile — turn off whichever you don’t want.
Delete a save
Open the item and choose delete. This also removes the scraped and extracted records behind it.
Delete your account and data
Delete your account from the app’s account settings, or email [email protected] and we will do it for you. This removes your profile and saved data. See the Privacy policy for retention details.
